IMA-C será encerrado em abril de 2021

O Índice que reflete a carteira de NTN-Cs, que não são mais emitidas ao mercado, será encerrado em abril de 2021. Os fundos têm 120 dias para substituir seus benchmarks, conforme publicação realizada hoje (19/11/2020) pela ANBIMA.

O IMA-C, índice formado por títulos públicos indexados ao IGP-M (Índice Geral de Preços do Mercado), deixará de ser divulgado no dia 2 de abril do ano que vem. A carteira do índice reflete atualmente duas NTN-Cs (Notas do Tesouro Nacional Série C), com prazos de vencimento em 2021 e 2031. Como não há leilão de venda desses títulos desde 2006, e com o vencimento do primeiro papel, não haverá mais necessidade de calcular o índice.

“Com a aproximação do prazo de vencimento do título e o consequente encerramento do índice, os fundos que adotam o IMA-C como benchmark deverão adaptar seus regulamentos”, afirma Hilton Notini, nosso gerente de Preços e Índices. A última NTN-C em mercado, que vence em 2031, continuará integrando a carteira do IMA-Geral, que é formada por todos os títulos elegíveis da dívida pública. O IMA-Geral ex-C, que já excluía o ativo de seu cálculo, não sofrerá nenhuma alteração.
